GMK “Nornickel” is one of the largest mining and metallurgical companies globally, and a world-leader in refined nickel and palladium production. It operates a fully integrated chain from ore exploration through smelting and sales, supplying products to over 30 countries. In recent years the company has faced challenges such as declining output of key metals, increased logistics costs, and adapting to sanctions. Nornickel is also implementing a large-scale environmental initiative ("Sulphur Programme") aimed at significantly reducing sulphur dioxide emissions and modernising its operations.
